Bias Tee
Superimpose a DC bias on an RF coax line for simultaneous signal transmission.
What it does
Combines a DC bias and an RF signal onto a single coaxial line using a diplexer arrangement (capacitor on RF path, inductor on DC path). Useful for future room-temperature/instrument integration or in-fridge DC+RF multiplexing. Not required for standard V1 topologies.
Where it goes
- Allowed stages
- 300K, 50K, 4K
- Typical line types
- xy, dc
- Optional catalog entry. Not required for standard V1 editor use.
- This form factor is closer to a room-temperature or warm-stage module than to a base-temperature inline part.
Typical specifications
| RF bandwidth | 100 kHz – 4.2 GHz |
| DC current max | 100 – 1500 mA |
| Interfaces | 3 × SMA |
Ports
- RFbidirectionalmicrowave
- DCbidirectionaldc
- RF+DCbidirectionalmicrowave, dc
Physical envelope
56.0 × 32.0 × 24.0 mm
Representative bracketed SMA bias-tee module based on the compact Mini-Circuits-style class, with two horizontal RF connectors and one vertical DC coax connector.
